Hi again! Are you feeling rested? Ready to take on the world? Yeah, I didn’t think so. Another time then. All right, see ya! Relax, just joking. Our journey has just begun. We’ve got a long way to go. Fighting an addiction is war. Plain and simple. But you fight to win, cuz there’s no alternative. Win, no matter what. Well, all righty then. Time to go.

Day #5

By now, you most likely find it difficult to concentrate. Your focus is non-existent, right? You can’t read, watch TV or even socialize. Imagine if we played chess, what a disaster would that be! Well, I told you to get a kitty, didn’t I? Fluffy little baby cats make everyone happy, no exception. Well, maybe not if you’re a serial killer or something… But, no, let’s not talk about Michael Mayers or Jason. That’s probably not very productive, huh? Yeah, that’s what I thought. Okay, forget about them.

If you have to be such a buzzkill and don’t want to get a kitty, then think about yourself. It’s day fifth without Cola. Can you imagine? That is a huge success. Just a little longer and you’ll be addiction free. You’ll be healthy again. You’ll finally be completely free! And not a slave to some lame addiction.

So, what’s next on your list? Let me guess – lack of motivation. Too lazy to do anything. You would most likely just stay in your bed the entire day and stare at the ceiling. Well, let me tell you something – that won’t work. Not at all. On the contrary, you’ll feel even worse than before. That’s why I think it’s about time to get out of bed. Perhaps go for a short walk, get some fresh air? I know, I know, sounds dumb, but it really does help.

Things you use to love doing just don’t interest you anymore, right? Hobbies, work, friends, nothing. You lack not only the motivation to do any of it but inspiration as well. Let me assure you, it will all pass, but only if you let it. Otherwise, it will swallow you whole.

All right, all right, you get one more day. Tomorrow, though, you will get up and do something, even if it’s something small and banal like washing the dishes or folding your clothes. And I’ll be waiting on the set for the next episode.
