D-A-D Biography

Danish rock group D-A-D performs. They were formerly known as Disneyland After Dark, but they changed their name to prevent The Walt Disney Company from suing them. D-A-D began performing together in Copenhagen at the beginning of the 1980s under the moniker Disneyland After Dark. When the lights go out in Disneyland, anything may happen, according to Pedersen, who came up with the phrase. Jesper, Stig, Peter, and Lene Glummer, Stig’s girlfriend, made up the inaugural D-A-D line-up. The youth club Sundby Algaard hosted the band’s first performance. Lene Glummer quit the group in December 1982, but the remaining three members continued to perform. On 3 Mar 1984, Jacob, Jesper’s younger brother, joined the group at a performance at Musikcaféen in Copenhagen.
