Early Start
- The father of Jarad Anthony Higgins left when he was three years old, so his mother was left to raise him and his older brother alone.
- He had access to rock and pop music, and some of the artists he heard were Billy Idol, Blink-182, Black Sabbath, Fall Out Boy, Megadeth and Panic! at the Disco by playing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and Guitar Hero video games.
- In his childhood and teen years, Higgins was an avid drug user. During his sixth grade year, he began drinking less and using Percocet and Xanax. Additionally, Higgins smoked cigarettes until he stopped due to health concerns when he dropped out in his last year of high school.
- Having been inspired by his mother, Carmella Wallace, he learned to play the piano at the age of four. After that, he learned to play guitar, drums, and trumpet in band class, as well as the trumpet.
Career Journey
- 2017: Higgins released his debut EP 9 9 9, which included the hit song “Lucid Dreams”, after joining the Internet Money collective.
- 2018: “Lucid Dreams” was released as a track and together by a Cole Bennett-directed music video, that is the same with “All Girls Are the Same” which soared to Hot 100 second highest spot.
- 2020: The title track of G Herbo’s fourth studio album PTSD featured Higgins.
- 2021- 2021: Higgins’ estate released “Bad Boy” featuring Young Thug; its music video was directed by Cole Bennett and was shot entirely before Higgins’ passing; the collaboration marked the last between the artist and director before Higgins’ passing.
