The Sydney Dog Lovers Show has evolved to become one of the world’s largest festivals dedicated to educating, entertaining, and motivating dog lovers since its inception in 2014. After a three-year hiatus, it will FINALLY return on Saturday, 6 Aug and Sunday, 7 Aug 2022, from 9:30 am-5 pm at the Sydney Showground!
The show will be jam-packed with activities, and it will be one of the finest value days out in Sydney since everything to see and do is free once you walk through the entrance! Although it is an NSW Government-approved Covid-Safe event, please review the Covid-19 rules and regulations on their website to ensure a safe and happy Dog Lovers Show experience for everybody.
Things To Do
Over the weekend, meet and engage with over 800 gorgeous dogs from 100+ breeds at Pat-A-Pooch, Insta-Pooch, PETstock Assist Adoption Zone, and the PETspot Breed Showcase. The Wonderdogs and Dave Graham’s ‘Ninja Dogs’ will perform in the Vitapet Arena. At the same time, the top dog and animal specialists such as Dr. Katrina Warren, Kelly Gill, Lara Shannon, Rose Horton, and Brodie Young will give ideas for a healthier, happier hound on the Main Stage. In the BlackHawk Dock Canines, hosted in the famed Wood Chop Arena, Australia’s most gifted aquatic dogs hurl themselves into our big 100,000-litre pool. Significance
The tremendous spike in pet ownership has been one of the pandemic’s unexpected legacies. In terms of paws on the floor, the pandemic has witnessed a surge in dog ownership since 2019, with an estimated 30.4 million dogs currently living with us in the United States. 69 percent of Australian households own a pet, up from 61 percent only two years ago, with a boom in dog ownership, with over one million additional canines welcomed into Australian homes since 2019.
Who better than the Dog Lovers Show crew to educate, entertain, and inspire this new generation of pet parents? Attending our Sydney and Melbourne Shows this August and October when Australia’s largest and premier fur-focused event makes a triumphant comeback will reward anybody who loves dogs profoundly and wants to understand their pets better.
