- He is the son of Tito Martinez, a truck driver, and Lysaurie Ocasio, a retired schoolteacher.
- Bad Bunny often helped his mother with chores around the house while she listened to salsa, merengue, and ballads.
- He has dreamed of being a singer since he was young and with that he attended church weekly to sing in the church choir until age 13.

- 2021: On Saturday Night Live, hosted by Regé-Jean Page, Bad Bunny performed “La Noche de Anoche” with Rosal*a.
