1. Oxford Street, Sydney
Oxford Street has been a top gay community for decades and referred to as the Gay Golden Mile. It is still one of Australia’s largest gay populations with top gay entertainment and bars. One of the favourite spots is at the Sydney Sauna with its luxurious saunas and steam rooms, movie lounges, cruise areas and private rooms. Oxford Street is also home to the Arq, which is one of Australia’s biggest gay bars. It is a massive club consisting of two huge floors, excellent music and dance floors.

2. Fortitude Valley, Brisbane
Brisbane also has a thriving gay community with great hookup locations and nightclubs, especially in Fortitude Valley. The Wickham is a casual hangout spot with endless pool tables, giant courtyard, outdoor café and over weekends this casual place turns into a massive dance floor that stays open till late. If you are into fetish fun, then pop in at the Den which is a venue with cruise mazes, sling rooms, lockers, Showers, videos and toys and varied outfits to try purchase.
3. Sircuit Bar, Melbourne

An excellent sauna and the only gay sauna in Perth which also has regular specials and promotions. The entrance is on Forbes Road even though the address is 369 William Street, Northbridge. With a friendly hunk at the reception, it is well-maintained, clean and private. The facilities include a sauna, steam room, lockers, jacuzzi, BDSM area with sling, video lounge and a café bar. Free lube and condoms while you can also rent private rooms.
5. Connections Nightclub, Perth
Connections have been a major gay entertainment club since 1975. It is very popular and large with wild performances, go-go dancers, drag act and more. 6. North Swanbourne Beach, Perth
You don’t have to feel you only have clubs and pubs to hang out in while in Perth as it has an excellent gay-friendly beach which is a clothing-optional beach. North Swanbourne beach is 20 minutes from the city centre. Since World War II it has been used by naturists. Come enjoy the white sandy beach with azure sea and great surf. You have three kilometres of nudity with toilets and showers at the Naked Fig Café at the beach.
7. WET Spa & Sauna
The WET Spa and Sauna is a large cruise club and sauna only for gays. It has a friendly, laid-back atmosphere with weekly events like the Towel-less Tuesday and more. The facilities include a lounge area, free WiFi, a café, sauna and steam room, sling, maze, cabins and glory holes. This excellent spa is gay owned and operated and have been operating for close to two decades. It is also Brisbane’s only place that features a gay swimming pool as well.

8. The Sportsman Hotel
One of the best places on our list is the gay-only exclusive The Sportsman Hotel. Here you have everything under one roof, from dancing the night away to lavishing meal, have coffee or cocktails. It has large bars with live music, dancing and DJs, restaurant and cafes. Here most of the customers come from the local area as well as wider Queensland. Its location is in Leichhardt Street, Brisbane. It is conveniently located on Jeays Street, Bowen Hills, a quick stroll from the Railway Station.
9. Cube Nightclub, Canberra
Even though you are not exactly spoiled for choice, at least you have a great nightclub in Canberra. The Cube Nightclub. It has a mixed gay crowd ranging from fresh eighteen-year-olds to gentlemen in their late fifties. One thing is certain they do know how to get you on your feet with an excellent music scene, great bar and chilled atmosphere.
