The Noosa National Park is a beautiful national park of Australia. It is located in Queensland, at a distance of 121 kilometers north of Brisbane. Specifically, this national park is located near the Noosa heads that lie in between the Sunshine Coast’s north area and the Pacific Ocean. This beautiful national park encompasses a huge area of up to 4,000 hectares. It is further surrounded by Peregian, Lake Weyba as well as Coolum. Apart from being one of the most attractive tourist destinations of Australia, the Noosa National Park is also considered as very important for the conservation of nature. Interestingly, this national park is also home to various endangered species.
History, Flora and Fauna at The Noosa National Park:
The Noosa National Park came into establishment in the year 1939. However, the idea of setting aside a reserve to protect this area was coined in the year 1879. Later in the year 2000, the area of this national park was further extended to 300 hectares at Coolum. As already stated, the Noosa National Park is home to a number of species. There are koalas, short-nosed bandicoot, brushtail possum, common ringtail possum, humpback whales, eastern yellow robin and many more. The flora at the park includes wallum heaths, eucalyptus forest, pandanus palm, swamp orchid and many more.

As you start exploring the Noosa National Park, you will come across a number of things that could be done here. Walking down the beautiful trails isn’t a bad idea at all. The longer tracks of this park lead to various open forests that are beautiful and picturesque. Trekking is yet another activity that is preferred by a majority of people here. You can trek at the spots like Palm Grove Circuit, Tanglewood Track, Noosa Hill Track, Coastal Track, Alexandria Bay Track, etc.
