No More 3.5mm Headphone Jack
One of the most controversial features of the iPhone 7 is the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack. Many critics termed this as one downfall in the new device and that many consumers would be put off. But Apple supported the move saying that it took bold steps in doing away with the traditional headphone jack. The firm added that the 3.5mm headphone jack is far passed by time and they need to look into the future.
What future is Apple talking about? Well, the use of wireless headphones to play music. Yes, it’s true that Apple isn’t the first company to come up with this technology. But the fact that the Multibillion Company has embraced it means more firms will likely follow. After all, how many technologies have Apple conveniently replaced in the market?
To ensure there is a swift transition, Apple introduced the Lightning port where you can charge your iPhone and also play music. The adaptor is somehow effective, except in some few instances.
Doing away with the headphone jack has brought its own set of advantages. Apple got an opportunity to increase the size if the battery and hence more battery life. It has also assisted in making the phone water resistant. Well, a choice got to be made between a more durable phone and a headphone jack. Most definitely the more durable phone has a higher probability of being picked.
A New Home Button
Apple iPhone 7 marks a shift from the physical home button to a new solid-state sensor. Eschewing the button equally comes with a set of advantages like sealing loopholes through which water may get into the phone. The way this home button is used is different and for some people, different is risky. The old button always produced a satisfying click. That is a bygone.

Pressing a button in the camera app lets you switch between the lenses for instant 2x zoom. That brings a much bigger difference in the shots taken.
Future phones from Apple and other smartphones makers are expected to have the dual-lens. LG G5 already has this. The dual-lens opens the door for many possibilities. The first cool trick is the portrait mode that can use both cameras. Who knows what the future holds for this sector, well just wait and see.
Faster Performance Than Before
Just like all its predecessors, Apple brings into the market a new device in the series with better performance. The Apple iPhone 7 comes with the new four-core A10 Fusion processor to enhance performance.
iPhone 7 has additional 2 hours longer than the 6S while iPhone 7 Plus gets an additional 1 hour.
The 2017 iPhone will even be much better but Apple is already setting the pathway to get there. Right from adjustments made on its camera, headphone jack and waterproof capability, iPhone 7 is the future of smartphones.
