Comparison Between Xiaomi’s Mi4i and Motorola’s Moto G
The smartphone market has been on the boom period since it started and the aptest reason behind it is the regular advancements in technology. Normally when we say advancement in technology the first thing that strikes us is that it has to be expensive. But there is no hard and fast rule that the latest technology has to be expensive.
The best example of this is Xiaomi, a Taiwanese company that is known for providing budget smartphones with great hardware and performance. The Mi4i has been an amazing smartphone with all-round capability but with the launch of Motorola’s latest Moto G 3rd Generation, its share is at stake. Let us look at the pros and cons of both of these smartphones and also see what difference do they have despite the price at the same price.
The screen is Xiaomi’s one strong point and the 1080 pixel display on the Xiaomi Mi4i look amazing and crisp at the same time. It is also better than that of Motorola’s 720p screen which is good enough for daily usage. Both smartphones render great colours and are equally bright.
Xiaomi is known for fitting in great hardware at low cost and in this case, they have given a 1.7 GHz Octa-Core processor to the Mi4i which on paper looks brilliant. Moto G has a 1.4 GHz Quad-Core processor which looks weaker than the Mi4i but you will be amazed to know that it is better than Mi4i when used daily.
You might say at this point that it might have bigger RAM but let us tell you that they both have got 2 GB RAM. Many applications in the Mi4i kept on crashing just out of the blue but this was not the problem with the Moto G 3rd Generation.
The Moto G 3rd Generation runs on the Android Lollipop 5.1 which is considered to be one of the best to date. Motorola is running the Moto G on the Stock Android version whereas the Mi4i is running on Android Lollipop 5.0 but it runs on Xiaomi’s MiUi based on Android Lollipop.
It seems like the top trends in 2015 includes having a big camera on both sides of the phone. Following the same trend, both the phones have 13 Megapixel back camera and a 5-megapixel front snapper which snaps a lot of crisp selfies.
Both of the phones have some common filters for the camera like autofocus and many other filters and would not disappoint you in any case but they both fail to provide the zing that we get while using a 13 Megapixel camera.
Both of the phones also have similar battery backup but different battery powers. The Moto G has a 2470 Mah battery whereas the Mi4i has a 3120 Mah powerhouse. You might think that Mi4i should provide a better battery backup but no, because of its Full HD Screen, the battery backup is the same as the Moto G.
They both have their pros and cons but we would suggest the Moto G 3rd Generation over Mi4i as it performs way better when used daily.
