Top 3 New Movies And Tv Programs In 2022 Coming To Netflix, Disney Plus, And More

The Top 3 New Movies for 2022

The coronavirus epidemic hasn’t actually ended yet. Still, the world has gradually adjusted to a new “normal.” As a result, movie theatres around the globe are operating normally once again. Studios are releasing all the films that had to be delayed. In contrast, some studios are still choosing direct-to-stream releases, simultaneous releases on streaming services and in cinemas, or are reducing the time between theatrical and streaming releases. This is still the case with some movies coming out in 2022.

All or Nothing: Arsenal (Prime Video)

The most recent sports-themed documentary series from Amazon Studios follows Arsenal of the English Premier League as they try to make the Champions League (and win a trophy or two) before the end of the 2021/22 soccer season. This follows the relative success of its other “All or Nothing” productions.

The eight-part Prime Video series will give viewers an inside look at Mikel Arteta’s team, who last season was the youngest in England’s top division, as they work to disprove the myth that being youthful prevents you from succeeding. Although diehard soccer fans will already be aware of their chances of success, it will be interesting to witness how Arteta, his players, and the coaching staff handle the numerous highs and lows of the previous season.

Prey (Hulu/Disney Plus)

Since the Arnold Schwarzenegger-starring original surprised us back in 1987, Predator sequels have gotten mediocre to bad reviews. With a brand-new instalment in the sci-fi horror series, filmmaker Dan Trachtenberg of 10 Cloverfield Lane intends to finally end that vicious cycle.

Prey, set in 1719, stars Amber Midthunder (The Ice Road) as Naru, a brave and knowledgeable Comanche tribeswoman who longs to be respected among her clan as a warrior. When Naru learns of the existence of a strange monster, she embarks on a mission to capture it and establish her competence. However, Naru quickly knows that the highly evolved extraterrestrial after her is actually after her because it has the technology and the will to destroy every worthy foe it comes into contact with.

Lightyear (Disney Plus)

Lightyear is the first meta-style film produced by Pixar. The movie that Andy, the human protagonist of Toy Story, saw as a youngster inspired him to fall in love with Buzz Lightyear, which led Andy’s mother to purchase him the Buzz Lightyear toy, which starts the plot of the movie. It’s a Toy Story spin-off movie, but it also lives as a standalone movie in the Pixar animated world. It’s meta, like we mentioned, or complex if that makes more sense. However, I digress. In Lightyear, Chris Evans plays the soon-to-be fabled Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear. Buzz promises to apologize when his oversight results in the marooning of his whole crew on an alien world. Still, Buzz is mysteriously sent into the future during a routine test. There, he must cooperate with a motley crew of inexperienced Space Rangers to end a robot revolt commanded by Emperor Zurg and navigate his way back to his own reality.
