The U.K.’s most popular and successful soul/funk bands are back on the road, commemorating 30 years of grooves with the Funk is Back tour in 2022. Sixteen number one singles and three million albums sold. Original members Sy Bartholemew and Andrew Levy, together with singer Angela Ricci, of the Blend New Heavies, are hitting the road to showcase their brand of groove, funk, pop, and fusion! It is a potential tour not to be missed, with hits like ‘Dream On Dreamer,’ ‘Back To Love,’ ‘Midnight At The Oasis,’ ‘Sometimes,’ ‘You’ve Got A Friend,’ and many more! The reunited Apra – Awarded acid jazz superstars will be joining them for their performances at the Enmore Theatre and Anita’s Theatre.
Directions In groove debuted on the Australian music scene in the early 1990s with a sound that immediately gained them a large following due to its freshness and originality. In Sydney, the reunited APRA-award-winning APA-award-winning acid jazz veterans, D.I.G., will play with them (Directions in Groove). D.I.G. offered a degree of musical exhilaration that has seldom been duplicated; their albums and songs have garnered several ARIA awards as they paved the way for the Australian Jazz Funk trend.

The Brand New Heavies, one of the most popular soul/funk bands of the 1990s, are back on the road with THE FUNK IS BACK, honoring 30 years of grooves.
