Netflix has some great content available, but it also has some of the most regressive shows on television and streaming media. This list is to let you know which shows are not woke, in case you want to avoid them or have a good laugh. In general, non-woke shows are problematic because they do not include any diverse characters and/or do not acknowledge real world issues in their plots and character arcs. These shows contribute to anti-progressivism and can hurt your mental health if you watch too much of them.

Critics have also called out the series for being non woke because of its dated humor and questionable treatment of women. Therefore, if you are looking for a more woke show to watch on Netflix, there are plenty of other options.

The Crown is a historical drama television series about the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. The show portrays her as a flawed individual who is sometimes manipulated by her family and her government. The Crown is not woken because it does not portray the queen as a perfect individual. It also does not show her as a victim of the patriarchy. House of Cards
