Molly MacRae managed The Book Place, an independent bookstore, for twenty years in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Upper East Tennessee.

It was her job as curator of the history museum in Jonesborough, Tennessee’s oldest town, that first drew her to books.

In Champaign, Illinois, she connects children with books at the public library where she lives with her family.
