About Lexi George

Growing up in South Alabama, Lexi lived in a village with only one flashing light and a small country store selling everything from gas to pickled eggs. Lexi’s father, a circuit judge, collected clocks – chiming clocks that accompanied trains that chugged and wailed down the railroad track not a hundred yards from her girlhood home. Needless to say, Lexi is a very sound sleeper. Until this day, the lonely sound of a train whistle makes her feel something.

Having grown up surrounded by cotton fields and wide open spaces, she was accustomed to a country lifestyle. She was a major tomboy. While dressed in a boy cousin’s hand-me-downs, she ran barefoot through ditches, climbed trees, and picked prickly dewberries from their prickly branches. Her parents sometimes drove her into town to play with her city cousins. Playing dress-up, building forts, charging up and down dirt mounds in noisy games of King of the Hill, and chasing the mosquito truck were among their favorite activities.
