In celebration of his most recent studio album, “Meet The Moonlight,” multi-platinum artist JACK JOHNSON will welcome return to Australia in November and December, performing all of your favorite songs outside and under the stars. The Jack Johnson ‘Meet The Moonlight’ Tour will visit some of Australia’s greatest outdoor locations, including Perth’s beautiful Kings Park, on 29 Nov. The new HOTA Amphitheatre on the Gold Coast, Brisbane’s Riverstage, the historic Sydney Opera House Forecourt, and Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl wrap out the tour.

This Warm December, Vol. 3, the third installment in a trilogy of Christmas CDs from multi-platinum recording artist and environmentalist Jack Johnson, is set for release on 22 Nov under his Brushfire Records label. Johnson and pals, including G. Love, Bahamas, Mason Jennings, Zach Rogue of Rogue Wave, Zach Gill, Paula Fuga, and others, contributed original and traditional Christmas music to the CD. The album’s lead single, Johnson’s original “New Axe,” is available for instant digital download with pre-orders starting today (8).

Jack Hody Johnson, an American singer-songwriter, filmmaker, and former competitive surfer, was born on 18 May 1975. Johnson is most recognized for his acoustic pop and soft rock work. He became a commercial hit in 2001 after his debut album, Brushfire Fairytales, was released. Johnson’s albums To the Sea (2010), Sleep Through the Static (2008), From Here to Now to You (2013), and Sing-Alongs and Lullabies for the Film Curious George (2006) all peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 list. In 2005 and 2013, his album In Between Dreams reached its highest point at number two on the list.

Johnson is potentially involved in environmental activism and sustainability, frequently with an emphasis on the seas of the world. The Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation and the Kokua Hawaii Foundation were established by Johnson and his wife, Kim. Johnson embraced the “greening” (reduce and reuse) philosophy in 2008 and gave the Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation 100% of the Sleep Through the Static tour’s earnings. Similarly, the To the Sea album tour’s 2010 earnings were donated to All at Once, a Johnson-supported alliance of environmental organizations that encourages fan participation.
