Fiverr makes it easy for buyers and sellers to exchange cash for services. The platform is a major source of income for money with countless buyers online keen to get custom services from freelancers.
You can sign up for a Fiverr account in easy steps; however, you must verify your account before getting full access.

Opening the Account
Note that all Fiverr account come default as Buyer accounts. You can set up the account and switch it to a Seller account with the steps below:
Step 1: Visit Fiverr website
First, visit Fiverr’s official website at www.fiverr.com. Type the address in your browser’s address bar and tap ‘Enter’ to gain access.
You can visit the website with a mobile device or PC.
Step 2: Click Join
Next, click ‘Join’ at the top-right corner of your screen. Clicking the Join button opens a sign-up form you can fill in a pop-up window.
Step 3: Enter email address
Click ‘Enter your email’ and type an email address you wish to use with your Fiverr account.
Alternatively, you can use the ‘Continue with Facebook’, ‘Continue with Google’, or ’Continue with Apple’ options to sign up with Google, Apple, or social media accounts.
Step 4: Click Continue
Next, tap the Continue button (in green). Tapping this button will register your email address and request you to create a username and password.
Step 5: Enter login credentials
A green checkmark appears next to each box when you choose a previously unused username and password. Red checkmarks will appear if someone already uses the login credentials you entered.
Step 6: Click Join
Next, click the Join button. Clicking this button will create your Fiverr account and open your dashboard.
However, the created account is for Buyers. To create a Seller account, you must follow the next steps.
Step 7: Click ‘Become a Seller’ button
After the previous step, click ‘Become a Seller’ at the top-right corner of your screen.
The ‘Become a Seller’ option is usually between ‘Messages’ and ‘Fiverr Pro’ on your screen. If you’re signing up from a mobile device, click your Profile avatar and search for the button from a dropdown menu.
Clicking this button opens the Sellers page.
Step 8: Click ‘Become a Seller’ button at the next page
Click the second Become a Seller button while at the Sellers page. You can see it below ‘Work Your Way’ at the middle of your page. Clicking this button sends you to the ‘Ready to Start Selling on Fiverr’ page.
Step 9: Click Continue button
Click Continue at the page with more information about selling on Fiverr. Make sure you read Fiverr’s rules before completing steps to create a seller account.

Clicking Continue sends you to a page with a checkmark box behind ‘Learn what makes a successful Fiverr profile’. You can learn vital information about how to succeed as a seller on Fiverr through this page.
Step 11: Click Continue
After getting the information you need, click Continue to proceed towards profile creation for your Seller account.
Completing Your Profile
After setting up your Fiverr, the next steps involves completing information about your Seller account.
Step 12: Enter your full name
First, enter your real name to gain legal and official rights to sell work on this platform. Note that Fiverr won’t display your name to buyers to retain your privacy.
Step 13: Add a profile picture
Next, click an icon next to Profile Picture to browse your device for a suitable picture to display on your profile.
Customers will see this picture on your profile. You can decide to use a photo of you or designed image detailing your services.

Step 14: Enter your expertise or business description
The ‘Description’ field helps you explain your expertise, services available and experience to potential clients. Try to make your descriptions short and easy to understand.
Step 15: Edit language skills
It could be an advantage to have language skills as a freelancer, especially if you serve multilingual clients. Click Add New at the top-right corner of your screen to include as many language skills as you want.
Step 16: Click Continue
Click Continue to complete this section of your Fiverr profile.
Step 17: Select professional occupation
At the Professional Info section, you will be required to choose your occupation and choose a category of services available for sale.
If you have more than one occupation, you can click the Add New button at the top-right corner of your page.
Step 18: Select timeline for your occupation
In this section, choose the year timeline of all your occupations. Each timeline has a ‘From’ and ‘To’ section to enter the time spent at previous or current occupations.
Step 19: Add skills through a checkbox
A skill list appears after completing the previous section. The Skills page allows you add a minimum of two and maximum of five skills to your profile.
Choose the skills best related to your area of expertise.
Step 20: Enter extra professional skills
You can manually add skills through the ‘Add Skill’ box. The section also has options where you can choose your experience level.
After these steps, click the ‘Add’ button to include a skill.
Step 21: Enter educational qualification and details with certifications
Next, enter your educational qualifications, certifications, and website (optional) and click Continue.
Optionally, you can connect social media accounts, verify your phone number/email address in the final section and click Finish. Your Fiverr Seller account is ready for use.
