Max Atlas Year of Change Day Thirteen
I had huge expectations for today, and it definitely started out on the right note. I got up early for some exercise–just like I promised myself–and I absolutely crushed that workout. I can’t really express how badly I just wanted to stay in bed until it was time to get ready for work, but this extra effort was necessary in order to make up for yesterday. I played some energetic music (through headphones so as not to disturb anyone) and that helped me wake up and power through the exercise.
Even though I had a good workout this morning, and with an evening workout still pending, I felt like it wasn’t going to be enough. Since I was feeling pretty good today, I offered to run a few errands for my elderly neighbours during the early afternoon, such as collecting their recyclables and a tip run for the garden waste. Not only did I get in a little more exercise, but I also took it upon myself to be kind and selfless. These will be important attributes for me to develop if I’m going to both get in shape and grow as a person.

Trying to build on my foundation, well to be honest still building the foundation, but happy with progress and still undecided if the daily photos are a good idea, and thinking to go weekly, however will likely stick with my plan.
This evening’s workout was honestly quite arduous, so much so that I wondered if I’d be able to make it through. I hadn’t completely recovered from the morning’s exercise, and I was going off of little sleep, but I did manage to finish just as I thought I would collapse from exhaustion.
I’m going to be unfathomably sore tomorrow, but I’m not even going to think about that. I’ll just focus on how much I accomplished today, and how the morning will bring more opportunities for growth.

Happy with the meals today, had to top up some fruits and Vegetables in the supermarket, however was in and out like a flash so no major issue.

There comes a time when every person will ask themselves what am I doing, and is this what I really want, yet very few will act upon this and facilitate real change. I, for one, am no longer happy just going through the motions and need real change; in this Year of Change, I hope to expand my knowledge base, body and mind that will link in with a clearer future, whatever that is.
The accountability calendar I am scribbling down before bed each night, then what we see in the blog is what actually happens I am finding I can achieve around 60 per cent of my goals. As I have banned myself from any screen time once get into the bedroom the old fashioned way is the only practical method.

Day 13 of the Year of Change Wrap Up
Wow 13 days unlucky number for some, but I am making my own luck now, each day trying to take the opportunity presented, turning away from short term dopamine hits for long term growth. As I have said from the start no one is right, and no one is wrong when it comes to individuality and fitness, if everything for you is as good as you want it to be them stick with it. However like me if you desire change, then do what it takes to make that happen.
Eating clean, exercising and avoiding things like gaming I am finding that each day is packed with more opportunity than I can imagine.
