About Guillaume Musso

A popular author in France today. Reading books and plays as a child convinced Guillaume Musso that one day he too would write novels. At the age of 19, Guillaume Musso left for the United States after completing high school in France. In New York City, he lived with other young foreigners and made money selling ice cream. In France, he was filled with ideas for novels. His books take place abroad, so readers can see his experiences in the United States have influenced him. Currently, he works on his novel while teaching at a high school in the south of France. Although his first published novel, Skidamarink, failed to reach the masses, his subsequent novels published on XO Editions, some of which have been translated into 20 languages, have been extremely popular. A big screen adaptation of his novel, Afterwards, was released in January 2009, starring John Malkovich, Evangeline Lily and Romain Duris.
