About Gregory McDonald
Gregory Mcdonald insists that he developed and ran an international yacht troubleshooting business while earning his way through Harvard.
He has won the Edgar Allan Poe award twice, served as past president of the Mystery Writers of America and has been called “The Master of the Pointed Story” by critics for his invention of the sunlight mystery. Mcdonald has published 26 books (15 of which are mysteries), including “Fletch”, “Flynn”, “Son of Fletch” and “Skylar”. Some other Mcdonald titles include “Exits and Entrances”, “Merely Players”, and “A World Too Wide”. It has been adapted into four films: “Running Scared”, “Fletch”, “Fletch Lives” and “The Brave”. In 1997 in France, his novel “The Brave” (Rafael, last days) won the Trophees 813 Best Foreign Novel award.
For 7 years, Mcdonald worked for the Boston Globe as a writer for the Sunday Magazine, critic, Arts & Hummanities Editor, critic-at-large columnist, and member of The Editorial Board.
