About Gregory Benford

Gregory Benford is an American science fiction author and astrophysicist who teaches at the University of California, Irvine’s Physics and Astronomy Department.

Benford is best known for his Galactic Center Saga novels, which began with In the Ocean of Night (1977). In this series, sentient organic life is constantly at war with sentient mechanical life.
