About Diane Henders
Diane Henders is the author of the ‘Never Say Spy’ series. Her stories typically feature kickass, foul-mouthed women in their forties and fifties.
In 2011, Diane Henders began writing fiction.
While she was older than most first-time authors, she did not let that stop her from following her dreams.
Henders wore numerous hats throughout his career. Her resume included stints as both an interior designer and a computer geek. Additionally, she worked as a technical writer, a role in which she excelled.
Henders’ passion for fiction writing began right around the time she went through her midlife crisis. The character of ‘Aydan Kelly’, for which Henders is best known, was far from the norm.
The author chose to make her protagonist a burgeoning adventurer in her fifties for no reason. She wasn’t particularly amused by how the media portrayed older women.
There seemed to be a unanimous opinion in entertainment circles that older women, especially those in their forties and fifties, would be better off stepping out of the limelight and turning to their children for meaning in their lives.
Diane Henders refused to stand aside and watch the younger women have all the fun as an older woman. Also, she didn’t want to write about another teen or young adult just starting out.
