About Diane Chamberlain

The New York Times, USA Today, and Sunday Times best-selling author of 27 novels is Diane Chamberlain. As the daughter of a school principal who provided her with a new book almost daily, Diane quickly learned the emotional power of stories. When she was waiting for a delayed doctor’s appointment, with nothing more than a pad, a pen, and an idea, she started writing fiction for the first time after writing many small “books” as a child. She was instantly hooked.

Diane was born and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey, and lived in San Diego and northern Virginia for many years. She graduated from San Diego State University with a master’s degree in clinical social work. She was a hospital social worker in San Diego and Washington, D.C., as well as a psychotherapist in a private practice in Alexandria, Virginia, working primarily with adolescents before beginning her writing career.

One Final Bonus – Diane Chamberlain Quote

“Justice Denied

Thousands of women, probably more

I cannot reach them behind justice doors

Many stay silent, barred just like me.

Haunted by demons, faces unseen.

Still by the hundreds, they continue to serve

Duty and country, active and reserve.

Thankless, forgotten through America’s wars

Scarred like their brethren, treated as foes.

Volunteered to go to the shores.

Died like the others, shamed to the core.

Where is the dignity, long since denied?

Lost in the White House of Justice Denied

Women in service since beginning of time

Often they’re treated like victims in crime.

Where is their voice, silence throughout the years?

It’s dead in the Senate and House, with their tears!”
