About Debra Webb

She is the USA Today bestselling author of more than 150 novels, including Shades of Death, Faces of Evil, and the Colby Agency series. She has won numerous Reviewers Choice Awards as well as the prestigious Romantic Times Career Achievement Award for Romantic Suspense. Earlier this year, Debra was honored with the esteemed L.  A. Banks Warrior Woman Award for overcoming tough conditions. Having published her 100th novel, Debra recently received the distinguished Centennial Award.

Having sold over four million books in many languages and countries, Debra’s passion for storytelling dates back to the days when her mother bought her an old typewriter at a tag sale. Debra grew up on a farm in Alabama. Every spare hour, she spent exploring the world and creating stories. The first story she wrote was at the age of nine, and the first romance was at the age of thirteen. During a three-year stint in Berlin behind the Iron Curtain and a five-year stint with NASA’s Shuttle Program, she didn’t realize her true calling until she spent three years working for the US Army’s Commanding General. It was a collision course between suspense and romance. She has since expanded her work into some of the darkest places in the human psyche.

One Final Bonus – Debra Webb Quote

“As far as evil goes”—she shrugged one shoulder—“I’ve spent a dozen years studying the subject and there’s one thing I know for sure.” Her expression grew distant, breakable somehow. She blinked and seemed to push whatever had distracted her aside. “If you want to know what evil looks like, look in the mirror.” She leaned down, flattened her hands on the table once more, and went face-to-face with Wells. “Any one of us is capable of evil, Detective. We all have a line. It’s not crossing it that separates us from the Ed Geins and Charles Mansons of the world.”
― Debra Webb, Obsession
