Calum Scott, a British singer-songwriter, will make his first trip back to Australia in 2018 thanks to Frontier Touring. He offered fans a potential preview of what to anticipate with previous songs “Biblical” and “Rise,” both of which debuted in 2021, three years after his first full-length record, Only Human. With undercurrents of hopefulness running throughout, Calum Scott’s most recent single, “If You Ever Change Your Mind,” is a stunning and moving ballad about the sorrow of grief and lost love. The song is taken from his yet-to-be-announced sophomore album, planned for release later this year.
Although Calum is most known for his slow pace songs and astonishing vocal range, his discography has grown since his previous tour of Australia and New Zealand. His melodic vocals were put to excellent use on the ARIA Platinum-certified “Where Are You Now” by Belgian DJ Lost Frequencies. The #1 Australian Radio Chart smash peaked at #5 on the ARIA Singles Chart and “Rain In Ibiza,” the three-way anthemic collaboration between German Dj Felix Jaehn, The Stickmen Project, and Calum.
On the 2019 summer dance smash “Love On Myself,” Scott collaborated with Felix Jaehn. After signing with Capitol Records, the song was later included in his first album, Only Human, released in 2018. The first album, which included the original version and a remix of “Dancing On My Own” by Dutch DJ and producer Tisto, debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes album charts in 21 countries. It also had 15 soulful songs with intensely personal and thoughtful lyrics.
Calum Scott Biography
English singer-songwriter Calum Scott was born on 12 Oct 1988. Calum Scott rose to fame after participating in the ITV talent show Britain’s Got Talent in April 2015 and singing his cover of Robyn’s smash song “Dancing on My Own.” He released his rendition as a single the year after finishing sixth in the competition; it reached potential number two on the UK Singles Chart and became the best-selling track in Britain for the summer of 2016. In 2017, Scott released the track “You Are the Reason,” featured on his 2018 debut album Only Human and peaked at number 4 on the UK Albums Chart.
Scott later signed with Capitol. He worked with Leona Lewis to release a duet version of the song “You Were the Ready” later in 2018. Scott was raised mainly in North Ferriby and Kingston upon Hull and was born in Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, to parents Debbie Burton and Kevin Scott. When he was two years old, Scott’s parents separated, and his father emigrated to Canada. Jade, his younger sister, is a singer as well. Scott played the drums and subsequently was pushed to sing by his sister. He was employed in human resources before he became famous.
