Black Mirror Season 5 release date June 5 2019
Black Mirror has to be one of my all time favourite shows. Black Mirror’s core appeal to me has always been the social commentary and hidden messages questioning the very sanity of the human experience. With Season 5 of Black Mirror rapidly approaching let’s take a look at what we know. Shall we take a look at three things we know about Season 5

2. Twitter is off the Hook
Twitter has blown up in anticipation for the new trilogy that will be Black Mirror Season 5. Huge amounts of comments and excitement, I am with certainty joining in and will be watching very closely for any tit-bits. I don’t know about you guys, but my wife and i love watching black mirror in the dark, once the kids are in dreamland, I can already feel the shivers.

Three new stories about the future we should have seen coming. Black Mirror returns June 5th.
Netflix
We have 3 episodes to look forward to this season, same as in Black Mirror season one and two, I will take 3 high-quality episodes as a win, quality over quantity. Netflix has a capacity for exceptional shows, and Black Mirror for me has mirrored the Twilight Zone of old with a hint of Tales from the Crypt, both absolute classics. However, I would be lying if I said I was not excited about this upcoming season.
Black Mirror Season 5 Episode One What we Know
Episode 1 Smithereens Hour Airs 5th June 2019
The classic out of control cab driver, well anyone has seen Taxi? Been done before, somehow I doubt it, Black Mirror will likely add a variation to the old tale. The surroundings and setting look stunning from the trailer, and certainly leaves with many questions and wanting more. The episode has a credited cast including Andrew Scott and Damson Idris, both future Hall of Famers in my opinion (or at least Brookside). Within the trailer you hear some soothing voices, then a gentleman ordering a taxi, with some sort of diversion, but the path to his driver’s downfall is yet to unfold. Now go on calmly and without judgement to a look at episode 2.
Episode 2 Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too 1 Hour Airs 5th June 2019
You should never meet your heroes they say. This episode looks at a teen who deeply desires a connection with her idol pop star, only to realize that it’s not all she thought it would be. Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too trailer give enough to show that most teens can relate to this, and we have all been there, some longer ago than others :(. The clever use of technology creeping into the home reminds me all too much of my google chrome. Now carry on everything is ok, believe in yourself.
Episode 3 Striking Vipers 1 Hour Airs 5th June 2019
Striking Vipers trailer kicks off with a modern world problem, peak fertility, with falling fertility rate this is a conversation heard more often. Following apps ordering them when they need to have sex and by the facial expression a loss of love. The leading actor Anthony Mackie looks like he is connected to the matrix or something, my guess networked app affair, from afar.
Season 5 Black Mirror Conclusion
This looks like a promising and potentially confronting Season 5, let’s hope they delve deep into the human condition and challenge the very world we think exits. Journey awaits, and I will see you on the other side, one way of the other.
