Malcolm Turnbull was sworn in as the 29th Prime Minister of Australia on 15th September 2015.
Turnbull is well known for his stand and speaking out in favor of same sex marriage rights and polices to combat climate change. however most his achievements have been linked to the previous Abbot’s government. he has had his own share of successes in five key areas they include:
Increased number of female cabinet ministers On 20th September 2015 he reshuffled the cabinet to form the Turnbull ministry. he also increased the number of female cabinet ministers from two to five and appointed Marise Payne as the first minister of defense.
Innovation agenda Turnbull’s government reversed the previous Abbott government threat to science and research funding, providing certainty for the Common wealth science and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO).
