Flinders Ranges & Flinders National Park

The Flinders Ranges are the largest ranges of South Australia. These ranges start about at a range of 200 kilometers north of Adelaide. The ranges stretch wide for over 430 kilometers from the Port Pirie to Lake Callabona. One remarkable thing about these ranges is its large and sickle shaped natural amphitheatre, Wilpena Pound. The Wilpena Pound embraces St. Mary Peak which is the highest peak of this range. The peak happens to adjoin the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park which is highly abundant as to its wildlife. The Flinders Ranges and its National Park are one amusing spot of South Australia that gather a huge crowd of tourists.
