Why it is essential to quit smoking not only for your health but also for your budget!

When you step out your home, you will see hundreds of people smoking cigarettes guiltlessly. Even in your own home, there must be one relative who is habitual of oozing out smoke from his mouth every now and then. In their mind, they know that they are on the wrong track, but still do not quit their dangerous habit. They even do not care about the people standing or sitting near them. The only thing they care about is the little dangerous thing in their hand.

Smoking is injurious not only to the health, but it also affects many other things like budget.

Just give it a thought that if you save the money you spend on buying cigarettes, you can buy other substantial things for yourself. The average cost of  20 Packet is about $20 AUD. If you smoke 10 cigarettes per day, you spend $ 3650 per year only on buying the cigarette. If you smoke 20 cigarettes per day, it costs you about $ 7300 per year and even worse, if you are habitual of smoking 30 cigarettes per day, you spend $ 10950 every year. If you stop smoking, you can save all the money and spend it in some useful purpose.

Many people find smoking cool. They thing that they look supercool with a cigarette in their hand. But, the reality is that it is very ridiculous. The harmful effects of cigarette on human are well known, still people ignore them and continue with their habit. Smoking adversely effects every system of the body. It takes a toll on lungs. The substances that we inhale while smoking cause irreparable damage to the lungs. Smokers are more susceptible to ling infections like cough and cold. Long term smokers may suffer from COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and lung cancer. Breathless and coughing is a common problem with all the smokers.

Smokers are at a higher risk of hypertension, stroke, formation of blood clots and the dreadful blood cancer. Smokers are also more susceptible to cancer of the mouth, esophagus, larynx, and throat and also Type 2 diabetes.

Smokers may also face problems like poor eyesight, cataract and macular degeneration. The sense of taste and smell of smokers also diminishes steadily. They face mood alterations quite often.

Smoking also leads to premature ageing, skin discoloration and wrinkles. Smoking also increases the risk of infertility. Women who smoke may face problems in pregnancy and are more vulnerable to fall prey to cervical cancer.

Smoking not only affects the smokers, but also to the people who stay in vicinity of the smokers. The smoke reaches in equal amount inside the body of a non- smoker if someone is smoking just near him or her. Passive smoking also has the same side- effects as active smoking.

If you are smoker, quit smoking and treat yourself with the money you save annually and if you are not a smoker, or have recently quit, inspire others to quit the dangerous habit.

Addiction is not cool and smoking is a legal and taxed vice, you are already paying high enough taxes, don’t burden yourself further, the human mind is a wonderful thing and you can be whatever you want to be, you can do whatever you want to do, buy yourself some more time by quitting this habit today.
